If nothing goes right, go left! :-)
Actually now that Blue 44 is catching his own fish he does not have to be in a hurry to migrate. He can go any time he chooses.

Hope he is not going to be another Ozwald lol, I thought he would never leave!

Yes but do you not think that Ozwald had the right idea? He honed his skills before going on that long migration. Makes perfect sense to me.
Tiger - I worried a lot about Ozwald last year, but yes, maybe it was the right idea, he would have had plenty time to practice fishing, and get in tip top condition before he left on his long journey! The thing is, why did he not go with the rest, did he really make that decision for himself?
Blue/Lewis was on the nest making a right racket, but he was gone before I could take a pic :(

There are some questions you just got to wonder about. I have never seen that behaviour before at least not in the UK. Some American ospreys have done odd things.
However this year we have the very late duo at Threave castle who have not even fledged yet. They may well be around in October.
Blue/Lewis is on the nest right now.
Dad brought in a fish a short time ago, so all that noise has paid off!
Lewis has a smallish fish and trying to eat it, not sure if it has stuck to his talons. He seems to be having a bit of difficulties with the wind too.
He has pulled a few peices off.
