TIGER gave me a return post on another forum yesterday evening and it has not left my head since and is very much true.

Odin is feeding the chicks that are killing probably his only known offspring to be still alive.

We obviously do not know of the 2010 Brood or Garten or that Chicks #1 and #2 are not of his genetics.

From what I could gather during early 'nesting/breeeding activities' this year, I thought the conclusion was that

• there was absolutely NO chance that No.1 could be Odin's;
• there was a 'vague outside chance' of No.2 being Odin's
• and that No.3 more than likely WAS Odin's.

If that's the case, then 'half-sister/brother No.1' is doing a very good job of trying to protect No.3.

Hi all :o) I'm home now.

What a heart breaking situation to return to. To be honest, I don't know if I can watch what I think will happen. It's wee yin all over again :o(( #2 attacking #3 is relentless, and if he doesn't starve, I think that he may be wounded. I am so upset about it.

When I left last week all was fine. It really put a dampener on my holiday. Please EJ, stop the bullying and feed #3.

Heading out to the shop.  Here's hoping a large fish is delivered in my absence and Bravery summons up the remaining innner strength to take on food.
