How many of us are torn between dread and hope for the new day to come?
The peace and quiet of the LG nest is punctuated solely by unalarming chick noises. Long may that last.

My groceries are being delivered now (don't ask!) so I'll watch it when he's left. Can't wait! :-)
I just checked the weather. It is forecast to rain off and on today all the way through Wednesday :((
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
One of the chicks has developed a whistly chirp. #2 was up and has now snuck under EJ and turfed #1 out. #3 has just had a squit, it didn't look as weak as some of his have lately.
Poor EJ, they really are too big for her ;-)
EJ can barely shelter the heads of the two oldest chicks. #3 has claimed a spot under EJ where he is totally covered

The BBC forecast for Aviemore for today and the week ahead...
All for one and one for all.
scylla it is one of the older chicks that is breathing so rapidly and heavily. :(
Barbara: Ha! Re your video, I remember one of the chicks had really bad landing skills and caused all kinds of worries once it came close to fledging; we wondered how on earth it was going to make it back onto the nest. There always seems to be some anxiety involved with one chick or another. This year it's #3.
What is so funny on that video is Odin's reaction. The fish went flying and he can't wait to get out of there.
Of course Eldest thought he would get the fish and was reaching for it when Titch hit Odin and the fish flew out of his talon. Then Titch nonchalantly walked over and grabbed the fish

I'm not taking in everything very well tonight (so what's different? you may wonder ;-) ), got distractions here. I do hope we don't have another cause for concern. You would know better than I, but I would have thought it was just the osprey version of dreaming making them breathe heavily. It's the one on our left, yes?
