Well it has been one of those worrying days again. It started out fine with both Odin and EJ seemingly enjoying their reunion.
Then sometime during the morning it was noticed that EJ was no longer on the nest. This was not worrying to begin with but as the hours passed it certainly concerned the viewers on here.
The weather at Loch Garten has been generally foul today and has become even worse tonight with snow falling.
So is there a problem or not? Personally I do not think so as ospreys have been known to go walkies before (well maybe they flying equivalent of walkies whatever that is).
In 2005 EJ went AWOL for a whole nine days. It was thought that she was sulking because Henry had smashed her eggs.
I guess viewers will be tuning in at first light to see if she has returned.
Anyway I think it is a bit too early to panic!

Hello all, I am at work and catching up on the comments. I put the cam on as soon as I got to work, but have not had any time to watch it. Thanks to scylla's recent remark about the 15.52 10 second visit, I was able to rewind back, and caught it. :) I'm hoping to be able to post it, though it may end up only being a link to my Photobucket account. Who do you think this is? Odin? Let's see...

Hi CC, that's brilliant that you got that one. Hazard a guess at Odin. Good to see you back here :-)
Looks like some more camera problems...
Yep BoL, it looks pretty bad right now. Just as well there's not a lot of action at the mo...
Well, if I hadn't been able to get a fix on the time and description of the action, I would not have been able to get the clip at all. It's due to the vigilance of all you guys while I can't join you. Unfortunately, by the time I get off work each day, your day is done and it's dark. It won't be until late May when school's out that I will be able to join you properly on some days of the week! Until then I will depend on your updates and summaries. :)
Have you noticed all the stills today have the birds facing away from you.
Think they are testing you seeing how good you are at IDing them :-)
So what did we learn from yesterday........DONT PANIC
A very old Shropshire Lad.
Seems to have been a quiet day, hope the snow clears for them soon, the weather has turned really cold here, but no snow yet thank goodness,
see you all in the morning, thankyou for all the videos and pictures.
The more you rush, the longer it takes
No signal on the wide cam, and no signal on the still nest cam :-(
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Maybe some cables are getting squashed somewhere and disturbing the scart type connections into the pc!! (Odin and EJ suggested this to me ;-) )
This is what the nest looks like at 9:07pm, poor signal and looks like more snow.
If nothing goes right, go left! :-)
Looks like not a lot has gone on since teatime, just gremlins in the webcam transmission.
Very quiet day due to the weather, hopefully things will improve tomorrow?
