Well it has been one of those worrying days again. It started out fine with both Odin and EJ seemingly enjoying their reunion.
Then sometime during the morning it was noticed that EJ was no longer on the nest. This was not worrying to begin with but as the hours passed it certainly concerned the viewers on here.
The weather at Loch Garten has been generally foul today and has become even worse tonight with snow falling.
So is there a problem or not? Personally I do not think so as ospreys have been known to go walkies before (well maybe they flying equivalent of walkies whatever that is).
In 2005 EJ went AWOL for a whole nine days. It was thought that she was sulking because Henry had smashed her eggs.
I guess viewers will be tuning in at first light to see if she has returned.
Anyway I think it is a bit too early to panic!

It does resemble Odin, Cirrus. A lovely pic anyway, Alicat. (& Sandra's)
Hi all, back again for a while. It's good to know that EJ is back :) If it was her sitting in the dead tree, then she just flew off going behind the nest as we see it.
Great video Scylla. Thanks so much. I have been out and would have missed it.
Great photo's everyone.
The snow is melting quicker than I thought it would. Goody.
Oooo, I can hear a Crestie on the cam.

Looks like Odin in your pic moffer!
I think it was Odin too
Good afternoon all and it seems a bit of snow has gone from the nest and EJ has been seen inspecting. Thanks for all the captures and I agree there are some captures there that would make fantastic Xmas cards. Still looks very bleak up there, what a difference to last week.
