Well it has been one of those worrying days again. It started out fine with both Odin and EJ seemingly enjoying their reunion.
Then sometime during the morning it was noticed that EJ was no longer on the nest. This was not worrying to begin with but as the hours passed it certainly concerned the viewers on here.
The weather at Loch Garten has been generally foul today and has become even worse tonight with snow falling.
So is there a problem or not? Personally I do not think so as ospreys have been known to go walkies before (well maybe they flying equivalent of walkies whatever that is).
In 2005 EJ went AWOL for a whole nine days. It was thought that she was sulking because Henry had smashed her eggs.
I guess viewers will be tuning in at first light to see if she has returned.
Anyway I think it is a bit too early to panic!

Huge thanks in advance today for all those that are capturing photos, videos etc - it means so much to those of us who are working and may not always show our appreciation. I can only speak for myself but I would be lost without you all keeping track so thank you. I hope Mary comes back today too.

Good morning all, logged in earlier when the cam was down but thanks to Richard it is up and running again and the nest has just about disappeared as it did in 2010. Good of Richard to allay all the fears for EJ, must admit I was a little worried when I started to catch up with yesterday's Daily and decided to switch off. Could see from the cam that someone had trawled through the snow on the nest. I think EJ and Odin will not be around much at present but taking cover somewhere. Thanks to Barbara for the summary and to all for the captures. Hope the snow is not going tio last too long and EJ and Odin can concentrate of the job in hand.

That was quick!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!

Why, when XD was not bringing in many or large enough fish and she didn't fish for herself, would she go fishing now good old dependable Odin is back and already presented her with fish? But then I am no expert. Yes agree that people were getting a tad fractious and there was a lot of tension around, even cross words yesterday. But heyho, today is another day and all is well....apart from the snow that is!

Good to see the wider view camera is back in action.
One of the birds.....
GOOD OL' RICHARD TO TAKE THE TIME TO UPDATE THE SITUATION
Perhaps we should appeal to the lottery find for cameras as they have at Dyfi Wondeful to see other views
