Well it has been one of those worrying days again. It started out fine with both Odin and EJ seemingly enjoying their reunion.
Then sometime during the morning it was noticed that EJ was no longer on the nest. This was not worrying to begin with but as the hours passed it certainly concerned the viewers on here.
The weather at Loch Garten has been generally foul today and has become even worse tonight with snow falling.
So is there a problem or not? Personally I do not think so as ospreys have been known to go walkies before (well maybe they flying equivalent of walkies whatever that is).
In 2005 EJ went AWOL for a whole nine days. It was thought that she was sulking because Henry had smashed her eggs.
I guess viewers will be tuning in at first light to see if she has returned.
Anyway I think it is a bit too early to panic!

Annette he stopped singing when he came near the nest . I could hear his wings beating. He sounded like he landed on the camera post to get a closer look at this mess. I think he flew away
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
The only sound in that vid after the first few seconds is buzz/hum/pulse :-(
IMAGICAT
And the thump when he landed on the post at the end Scylla. I can live with the buzz/hum. Better that than no sound at all.

scylia he didn't sing for long .
I am on the Carynx live feed. What is that dark moving patch in the lover right corner?
The Carnyx picture doesn't seem as sharp since they changed and added the two still camera on the bottom half of the screen
Day cam on
Lets play "Spot the Nest"
I think it's wet on the camera Barbara. Odin flew away.
The worst part is the weather forecast is for temperatures below freezing for a couple of days so there is no hope it will melt soon
Oh I hoped someone would report a sighting of EJ. I'm out at work all day so will be wondering until I get home. The snow scene looks somewhat traditional for the start of the season though.
I am hoping the snow on the lens of the wide cam melts . Then we may be able to see the trees and if anyone is in them
