Hi everyone. If you didn't check the last few pages of the previous week, it was very busy. I'm going to catch up all the latest posts after dinner.
Oh, Diane. What a beautiful bird. Thanks for a great picture. Just off to do some delivering of Christmas cards by hand & some letter writing (a friend & I still communicate, after working together over 38 years ago! but only seeing each other once in all that time since!)
Hi Margobird - keep yourself upright & the longer days will soon be here! Take care.
Hi Gary -how is the weather there with you. Sunny here this a.m.
Further to previous chat about minature railways: love 'em! Went for ride on particularly memorable day about 300 years ago when our children were only small, at a place called Dobwalls in the S.West (Cornwall or Devon?) the sun was shining & the staff entered wholeheartedly into the feeling of the thing by dressing in proper 'train driver' overalls costume, etc. Must dig out the photos, as I said, a special day for all of us.
Morning all,
Pouring with rain at the moment on TI. The Thunderdog was very reluctant to go on his morning walk.
Not doing a lot today as Lady P has the cold.
Interesting the difference in daylight time between LG and TI

Careful. You might give away the location of TI :)

Hi Lindybird. Enjoy the deliveries:)
Your weather sounds nice.Ours has been cold the last few days and this morming -9. However (drum roll please) we are to get above freezing today:)) Then snow/rain showers tonight and turning milder for a couple of days before cold again. No sign of big snow coming in yet.
I love those old train rides as well. Just before my dad died a while back we took him on the Tenterden railway and, like you, we have such lovely family memories of the day. Weather was great, steam engine puffing away. Magic. http://www.kesr.org.uk/pullman-dining.html
I do not think that is a stork Gary. But yes white storks have a particularly severe attitude to chick care. So when food is scarce out goes the little one.
Also woe betide any male stork found cheating by the wife.....even more so for the mistress.
sorry about Lady P's cold Alan. Perhaps the stress of the extra handbag brought it on....... That is a huge difference in timings

You're right Tiger. Being dim my end! Thanks
I am glad you like the global sunrise/sunset map. It is particularly valuable when the active cams are spread around the world. I always think the season begins with the Bologna peregrines around 25th February.
Mind you there are various ospreys at it already in Florida.
That is a lovely expression of support for Maureen Diane.
