Bryan, no need to apologise, there was no pain or anguish. I was looking at osprey pictures after all so who can complain!  All your photos are brilliant but I especially adore all your squirrel pictures (after the osprey ones).

I've had another look at the photos and enlarged them all to make sure no BTO rings this time! You have taken 8 pics of what I think is the one osprey on 19th July. In my opinion (for what it's worth) these are the only ones that could possibly be Odin but again I'm not 100% certain. Image numbers range from 9580 - 9597. I've even considered the fish the osprey has caught which in many of these appears to be the same fish!!

Again please feel free to agree/disagree/discuss. Bryan I am sure all the ospreyholics would be delighted if you posted more images of these beautiful birds.

If Bryan W can also supply the time stamp for the photos you are talking about, the time could also be compared with the details of fish deliveries on the Loch Garten nest in the Daily Thread for that day!!!!

OMG Chocoholix!!!!!!!

Just had a quick look through DU for 19th July and noted the following:

Fish feed at 6.36am

There were no vids prior to this fish delivery - Scylla posted that it was buffering all night

Fish brought in by Odin at 17.40

Fish brought in by Odin at 21.22

Looked at Aviemore ospreys on Facebook and nothing posted on 19th July. Bryan do any of the times above fit in with when you took the photos? Now I am calling a halt to this (I think), after Bryan replies :D

I have checked the time stamp on images 9580-9597 and the time stamp is 05:46 and what i can tell you is that Sat 19th we had 7 osprey fish between 04:40 to 05:46 and the one at 04:40 we all missed as we had just got into the hide.

8866 = Friday 18/07.14 @ 04:52

8880 = 06:01

9422 = Sat 19/07/14 @ 05:11

9489 = 05:13

9540 9545,9547,9548,9555,9564 = 05:37

9580-9587 = 05:46

Bryan I was trying to tie up some of the photos to the DU threads but after the first 3 or 4 the info not there to tie up.    Stunning photographs by the way.   I absolutely adore your Red Squirrel photographs.

Sorry for delay in replying Bryan. The only conclusion I can come to is that there is no definite answer as to which (if any) are Odin. There are no available videos for this time period and the only thing posted in the DU is the confirmation that there was a fish feed going on at  06.36. It is possible that Odin caught the fish at 05.46, flew back with it and either did not deliver it to the nest immediately or EJ received it then waited on the youngsters appearing and was still feeding them at 06.36. I am sure that staff watching the nest overnight will have recorded the time of fish deliveries for that morning so that may be the only way to ascertain whether it is Odin or not.

Either in the photos section or you could start a thread specifically for photos (personally I feel this would be more visible). Does anyone else have any other suggestions?  Look forward to more beautiful photos Bryan -can never have too many!!!

I will set up a new thread when I get time as I will have to resize any images I put on as they are all well above the maximum size that are allowed.
