See that Annette has been too busy perhaps, to start a new week, so I'm doing the honours. Rather wet in this part of the world this morning, so doing lots of tidying & Christmas preparing stuff.
Another day another shopping mission. This time up the A1 to Boundary Mill stores at Grantham where Lady P increased her handbag collection by 1. On the way back the northbound carriageway was closed due to an accident and the traffic was being diverted off the A1. Luckily we were heading southbound. Gary : Lots of horses with coats on in the fields. Here is a link to the stores;

George G : Interesting you mentioned clootie dumplings as my mother used to always make them. Did you put any threepenny bits in by any chance?
Dundee have maintained their 5 point cushion at the top of the Scottish First Division by beating Ayr 3 - 1.
FAB
Just as a reminder of last season this is a close up of Mallachie taken from one of my video clips :
Hi Alan: Went to the Boundary Mill stores once, years ago, on a coach trip with the WI. What a huge place it is. Hard to leave without buying something. Husband is watching the Man United game as we speak, will have to serve dinner in the half time interval, as its not often on TV these days unless you have Sky Sports, which we gave up when our boys left home.
Maureen: You remind me, I completely forgot about tocks as well as ticks!!!
OG Yes the pictures are lovely. Thanks for drawing attention to the waxwings.
Lindybird Lincon Karim is one amazing photographer. He has shown phenomenal dedication to Pale Male and Lola. It looks like we will not have any more little pale males around.
Tiger Signature
Dear Mallachie, wonder where she is now. I'm sure they've all perfected their fishing skills a lot over the last few weeks.
Tiger: Marvellous shots from the palemale site - thanks - anyone know what those little birds with the white "hearts" on their chests are? George: Nice to see you again - but what's a 'cootie" pie? Lindybird: Breakfast place off the tourist grid, popular with locals (always the way, eh?) If you get this far, I'll buy you breakfast. OG: Pretty daisies, but now I have to Google the Eden Project. :-) Alan: I went to the Boundary Mill stores with my sister last year; great place to get into trouble. I bet it was crowded. I never take OH along on shopping missions; he's in and out and I like to putter and peruse. We've learned to take crossword puzzles/books along on joint outings. Re photo: How could we forget that face (of course, being one of a few folks who couldn't tell the difference between any of our girls at the end of last season, that's a silly comment.)
Mourning doves have found the bird feeder, so all well in our garden.
Annette. Are they not starlings?
There has been a osprey sighting on the French Faune-Aquitaine site:

Off now to watch 'Strictly Dancing' as are most of the population. Goodnight All.
Evening all ... not been around for a few days ... had our trip to Dublin ... we had a wonderful time doing 'Christmassy' things and catching up with friends. The nicest thing was the fact that it was my partner who suggested the trip ... not something he usually does!!!
Alan - I, too, was at Boundary Mill stores today ... but the one at Shiremoor on Tyneside ... didn't seem to come away with much ... but spent a lot :))
Maureen/Hilary ... I echo everyone else's comments ... good luck, keep positve ... and a big hug xx
Took me forever to catch up on the blog here and the diary page ... so many posts and pics and info ... thoroughly enjoyed it all! Thanks everyone for making a bleak Saturday so entertaining.
