See that Annette has been too busy perhaps, to start a new week, so I'm doing the honours. Rather wet in this part of the world this morning, so doing lots of tidying & Christmas preparing stuff.
Gary & Alan: Sad to say the whole house needs doing - my own fault for leaving it so long. Am tackling the inside over winter (so no problems with paint drying) and will deal with the outside in the summer. My house is pretty old so I expect to come across problems along the way (already discovered that one bedroom requires completely replastering). I know it's a big job but all I can do is tackle it one room at a time and get on with it.
I might even set up a countdown clock!
Alan: That's because I failed to include the last "s" when I copied/pasted. Sorry! Hope it works this time.

Alan: Dang! STILL doesn't work. What I did was Google: "How are reindeer different from elk and moose?" and the languagehat site was the top listing. Their home page is http://www.languagehat.com/

P.S. Welcome Chloe!
Thank you Annette. Have been taking a bit of a break recently :)

Gary - Unlike Clover I have just 3 coats for the winter which at long last seems to have arrived. Very cold today, has come as a bit of a shock after all the mild wet weather we have had. I feel the cold terribly but would rather have it like this than wet all the time. I will be looking as though I have gained a lot of extra weight with all the extra clothes I put on.
Margobird
Margobird, best thing is to keep warm, especially if you feel the cold. Clover has many more coats than m but not as many as my OH.....................
Sandy, seems a big project but getting started is sometimes the hardest thing.
Not much going on with me today, all very mundane..
Annette : Thanks for that. I googled the same question and managed to locate the article. Just how complicated can reindeer, elk, moose and red deer get? Just to calm down here are some reindeer taken in the Cairngorms by one of my daughters:

Hi.
It looks absolutely freezing in that picture. Mind you the deer don't seem too bothered.
Paul.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Hi Paul:)
Alan, great photo and good idea of the screen shot of the count down clock!
