This Topic has been set up to follow the Spring 2012 migration, and summer activities, of satellite tracked ospreys, excluding Rothes and Tore from Loch Garten, who are followed on this thread.
It replaces this earlier thread, Satellite Tracked Ospreys (non-LG) Aug 2011 - Feb 2012.
He certainly wasn't seeing it this time then, as he was only at about 350m as he started the crossing.
Erika had crossed the Med and the Black Sea by 3rd April, and was in Moldova.
Latest from Roy Dennis:

Another update from Roy D this morning
"10th April. Red 8T home on 9th after 408 km flight. Rothiemurchus still not started yet. "
Rothiemurchus late departure from Africa in 2011 was as I understand it not unexpected as a juvenile returing for the first time. One starts to think that there must be a reason (injury/illness/feather damage?) that he is still in Africa when egg-laying has started in UK, particularly after his comprehensive scouting of the UK for possible nest sites last summer.
EDIT more specific update on Rothiemurchus from Roy
"09 April 2012
At 0900 GMT today he was still in his usual haunts and has not made any long flights, about time he set off north if he is to try to breed in 2012."
Jukka has contunued his migration after a stopover near Warsaw:
So far, we have only seen two daylight fixes on Jukka. They show us that Jukka has continued his migration. At 13 (GMT), he was 80 km to the north-northwest of Warsaw, and three hours later, he was 130 km closer to Pälkäne, and only 36 km from the Kaliningrad border.
Dulas has moved in on Nimrods wintering area:

Jukka is home to his nest in Finland. Arrived 11.04 after 22 days of migrating from Lake Lagdo in Cameroon. He is 9 days earlier than 2011 and 5 days earlier than 2010. Good news.
