Annette: Hadn't heard the "Lawn Ornament" title for an unfit or redundant horse before - like it! Hope the horse has fully recovered from Cellulitis - nasty - I've had it twice - once in an arm, then in an earlobe - very swollen and painful.
Gary: Already slight change of plan - nobody working this afternoon after all, but three for a whole day tomorrow! - oh yeah? where did I hear that before? !
Friends in South-West England: believe you are getting the weather again today - hope it's not too challenging - and Margobird: don't get blown off your feet!!!

george g : I hope you enjoy your trip to Forres. It is one of my favourite places in the area and we visited it last year on holiday. I love the Britain in Bloom award winning park and the butchers with the award winning Scotch pies. Yummy!!!
Weather has deteriorated since this morning on TI. After yet another successful shopping mission. It was straight in and then straight out again with the minimum amount of casualties.

Alan go to Forres now and then. Think I know your award winning butcher. It is beside a barbers called Sweeneys. Love the macabre sense of humour.

jsb: Thanks for the Cumbria link - very dramatic pictures. I managed to get the "Listen Live" program, which was giving bus schedules for the area. We saw some ITN footage during the floods.
OG: You do have two showers in your house, right? Maybe they should be paying you for all the practice they're getting!! But oh dear, just read your note that they didn't show up today? Aaack! My daughter coined the "lawn ornament" phrase a couple of years ago when she realized she couldn't ride Cimarron any more. Vet is due at the ranch this morning - in about 15 minutes actually - but daughter says horse was much better yesterday. Unfortunately, this is shaping up to be a black hole for vets bills.
George G: Oh dear, not good news for the Sea Eagles, It'll be interesting to see if the West Coast eagles fare better (though I've never found that kids pay much attention). :-)

Margobird: Thanks for your kind words. I've got that sick, but not terribly sick feeling and am doing everything possible to get my sinuses to stop draining. Feel tired but have been napping and resting during the day to facilitate wellness. Need to be on the mend and ready for a 7 or 8 hour car trip on Wednesday, which I think actually answers your question, Gary.
Wattle: I wish the weather would straighten itself out so you would get the rainfall (not mud) you need and the folks in the U.K. be spared all the flooding and nonsense.

Diane: I've been watching the Bald Eagles bringing in nesting material and I couldn't tell much about their size difference from the camera angle but notice one is grayer while the other looks more black. Do you know how to tell which gender is which?

Morning Caerann: Really do have to get organized, but has anyone click on the "Accoustical" link above the photo image on the penguin cam - http://www.martingrund.de/pinguine/pinguincam1.htm. I opted for the mp3 link; you can hear sounds from under the Antarctic - read the text regarding the quality - you have to bump up the volume but it warns about "sudden loud events." Good luck with that 7-hour car ride - and watch out for all the folks in a hurry!!
NEW BLOG - ALL IS WELL
OG I take advantage of Scotrail club 55 offer can go to Forres from Kirkcaldy for £13 as I have a rail card if I go by car it would cost me in the region of £30 and as I get driven about when I am there I go by train. If anyone uses the A9 road it can be rather busy and when there is an accident it just closes the road.
OG how is it that tradesmen nowadays don't seem to have the same pride in the work that they do because both you with your wetroom and Annette with her kitchen have had problems so it just isn't a British disease.

David, thanks. 4 border collies, actually! One is over 14 and retired from agility, one is 8 and recovering from an injury, one is 4 (c0mpeting on Saturday) and one is nearly 4 and training to compete. I'll try to put pictures up one of these days.
