Dunedin male:
Very sad news. Poor little thing. This weather is causing mayhem to our lovely birds. Dyfi has bad news too although there is still a little hope until we are told otherwise.
Good news from Glaslyn:
"Osprey Update:
Despite the bad weather over the last couple of days the three chicks despite being wet are still feeding regularly and growing accordingly. The adult female has done her best to protect them from the elements and the male is bringing fish in about every two hours."
That is good news Alan. Did they have such bad weather as the Dyfi nest? The chicks are older too, which I guess would have helped. The Kielder chick was very tiny wasn't it?
A thing of beauty is a joy forever.
Thats wonderful to hear too Alan. thanks
another good nest and zooming on eggs and maybe they are due to hatch. too many but some might be interested

oh no, such a shame although Im glad one chick is ok. such a bad time for so many chicks that it makes you glad that they saved one today at dyfi
Just looked in on the Estonian nest, Piret flew off for a few minutes, the three eggs show no sign of imminent hatching.
