Unknown said: Alan P - Do you ever manage to post a plotted map of the area that Number 12 has roamed over a period showing inland roosts and fishing trips. I know the site shows these every week or so but once I try to copy and paste into my records the maps seem to be copyright and the copy/paste does not work. I keep looking on here to see if you have posted a map that I can use in my Documents now and then.

Why not do a screen grab? :)
Or even a camera!

Female on the nest at Dunedin. Still dark there at the moment:
Looks like an egg to me!!!
You could be right Alan. In fact the pic now is clearer and it definitely is an egg.Well done on spotting it.

Thanks Brenda and Alan and that is definitely an egg.

The Dunedin female is NOT brooding the egg to keep it warm. I have checked on her several times this evening and she is never sitting on the egg
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
I have also noticed that she is not brooding the egg properly. Someone has commented on another forum that the egg is cracked and is therefore not viable. This is not confirmed by Dunedin however.
