Great catch Barbara (Thanks) - At least we know now they are mating and with the activity preparing the nest we will see eggs.
They waited a while last year before settling down - but as I have said on other forums the Ospreys in Florida do wait some time from pairing together to laying of eggs completely different than Scotland. But then in FL there is no rush.
Last season mating was first spotted 6/2/2011 with eggs by 28/2/2011.
Great capture, Barbara! :-)
IMAGICAT
I just did a screen print off the site, but thought it was note worthy. Now we know they are mating.
fabulous capture Barbara, no-one could have got anything more interesting :)
3 chicks now at Sanibel Island:
Thanks Alan - I am in Naples FL first week May but they may have gone by then. However FL birds tend to stay around the nest much longer than we know in UK after fledge.
