In response to the demand for an osprey chat thread I am now making one for September 2011. I guess there will be quite a bit to chat about given the success of the extension thread.

JSB, is it possible he followed the ferry...I was looking at his track, the Hull Zebrugger ferry also follows that sort of direction.. did our clever boy catch a lift?
Tiger, I'd no idea that all this has been going on, it's wonderful.. you have a mine of information.. S8H, 2001!!! my mind boggles..
All for one and one for all.

I think I have followed almost every osprey tracked since it all began in 1999.
Probably missed some Swedish ones and certainly some west coast USA.
Thank you both ChloeB and Cirrus.
I like to think of the birds just going on holiday... home is here in the UK.

WOW
you have the bug in a big big way... I see on another thread there is no cure
Hazel b said: Vespa I know it is only a sample of two but both AW and 9 (98) seemed to have headed off in a SE direction. If you look back at the origninally tracked birds two of them did sort of miss Spain but in different ways. I think we will know a lot more about this in a few months from now where all these birds end up. Mind you 9 (98) problem has not been migration but in an inability to pull females! 3 (97) has been rather good at that. It is a pity that 3 (97) is not being tracked himself although his grandkids are.

Hi there BJ, nice to see you :-)
CIRRUS, I thing nothing's been logged, my GE is still on 1 September (and yes, I HAVE refreshed it! ;-) ).
IMAGICAT
I'm still getting my head round posting and answering... that last one was for tiger
BJ: If so, did he hop on board, reference the low altitude sat fixes. If it was the Rosyth ferry did he place all his blue chips at the casino, on numbers 4 and 7. (A bit of an in-house joke, Bynack is Blue 47) :o)
