LG OSPREY GABFEST

July21, Thursday 9:06 p.m Ohio USA; Friday 2:o6 am UK

BRIGHT & BREEZY, as you see I am acting on your suggestion to update THE GABFEST thread.   Btw, earlier I switched back to the cam to check out the noise you talked about, but by the time I got there all was quiet, as it is now at an empty nest.  Now, at 2:37 I hear a cheep that does not sound like an osprey on the nest.  Also another bird sound that I cannot describe.
SUNSHINE<  I too like it here at THE GABFEST.   I feel a freedom here that I never did on the main blog.  I felt there like my comments always turned out too long & if I wanted to vere off onto another topic I didn't feel I should do that.  Here, who cares?   I do hope we can keep the GABFEST going,  but there is no point in keeping it open if no one else is interested just to  talk to myself.  .  If the three of us keep it open, maybe eventually others will find & join us to chat about what interests them.

  • Keith, you should write an autobiography not me.

    Yours will be more interesting.

  • Keith Talon, Wings, crest and feathers for teams, no Osprey team I can see but team Osprey/roger sounds good and it does look a lovely golf course. I was a golf widdow from York Golf club.

Hoping for news on Bynack and Tore soon and thinking of them both.

  • B&B   Did you used to live in York?

  • B & B - The tees are Talons, Wings, Crest and Feathers. Talons are the killers which my son plays if he comes with us (he brings his girlfriend with him) - I play Crest which he describes as the baby tees. Next time I am wearing a skirt or my kilt and will play off Feathers which would be regarded as Ladies Tees in UK.

The best part of the course is the  vast number of Ospreys so the course is well named.

I do not leave the Golf Widdow I taught her to play and she joins us all. If she wants some peace at home she nags me to go and see my birds or go to the golf club - its great. We are going to the Carrick (Loch Lomond) and Spey Valley (Aviemore) in the next two weeks then unfortunately I have to migrate to Algeria for a little while.

  • Cant stop just a flyiing visit, will be back later.

The pond is very busy and Ospreys catching fish.

  •       LOWRY & KEITH, I'm glad to know that you and probably other of our bloggers get to this side of the Atlantic occasionally.  Just now I am watching live news of Hurricane Irene from Kill Devil Hills and Nags Head, NC. Our favorite motel where we returned year after year was located at Nags Head and seeing it live makes me so homesick I could cry.

Keith, your golf course sounds delightful,  but I am an ocean person myself. If I could get to the ocean I was happy.  Get settled in our room then decide what to do.  Usually the first action was to take off shoes & wade the tiny lapping waves down the beach & just drink in the sights & sounds of waves, sea gulls, etc..   AHH, Heaven! to this land locked Ohioan.

From Daytona Beach we could make a day trip to Disney World, OR leave the ocean, move into Orlando for two or three days at Disney World, then a quick trip up Interstate 75 back home to Ohio.

  • Hi June, have just been watching live news from VA not nice at all, going to check on my eagle friends now hoping they are all ok,unless the power is down.

  • June I am an Ocean sea person too, I can sit all day watching the sea.  The boat trip I went on at Mull was fabulous too.

I have not seen the news since this morning when millions were being evacuated from New York. Totaly heartbreaking for everyone.

Tiger Yes I am from York.

    I have now got GE.

FISH if you take a look here, I went onto my computer and unistall and found my old GE and removed it and downloaded it again.  It works and it has kept the LG settings from when I had it before.

Keith I hope you have had time to check your Ospreys before you go away. I would love to hear how they are doing?

  • Have you all checked out the new thread "South East Scotland Ospreys",  Delightful!  I was just about to ask what is the purple suff? Heather, maybe?  But CHRIS S has already confirmed "the purple heather ones are just typical Scottish".  I love it!!  I really think I must have some Scotch ancestry somewhere in my background.

Lowry, I do hope your friends are OK.  I think they will be.

  • June checked with friends so far so good but the worst not there yet, going back to chat now to see iif they are all ok.
