Another new day which now seems quite different. All the pleasant exciting events are over and "Goodbye to the ospreys" is the next stop. It is really amazing how quickly the season has gone.

All is quiet now. Odin must have gotten the message from the " trio chorus " and went fishing

Well, I think Bynack flew in for a screeching halt at the edge of the nest, nearly falling over the side. Processing video. Fish anticipation is tangible. :-P
[VIDEO] Bynack Makes an Early Morning Stopover Hoping for Fish
I am seeing osprey flying in the distance and occasionally hearing the slight whoosh of wings by the cam mike.

Bynack WAS on the nest yelling for Breakfast . I snapped this just before he flew off
@ Barbara: I thought so but it is good to get the confirmation! I anticipate having a hard time getting them straight from now on!
CC/Barbara: Thanks for noting Bynack's flying visit; I was sewing and couldn't take both hands off the material to without having to start over.
CC: Barbara is very good at ID'ing the chicks; amazes me since even with obvious markings, I can't always figure out which is which depending on their position and the lighting.
I check the back of their heads. They each have distinct head markings. Tore has a huge auburn colored "T" looking cross on the back of her head . You can't miss it . Bynack has a couple of mountain like markings that are auburn colored
@ Annette: I don't find their markings to be obvious at all. It's more a combination of markings, shape, size and behavior for me, but even then I am not so familiar with them, having not followed them all season. That said, they do have distinct personalities.
I really got a kick while catching up watching Bynack's flights. He kept on doing short flights over and over again, returning to the nest, chirping all the while, announcing his arrivals! So very different than Tore's calm fledge that seemed completely in sync with her confident laid-back demeanor.
@ Barbara: Thanks for the descriptions. I shall look for that distinction the next opportunity. I was looking at the front markings, including the eyebrows, but those have changed in the last two weeks. I also feel a difference in the voices - Bynack's being a bit more hoarse...
I hadn't thought of storing video on Photobucket until I saw you do it, CC :-)
