Another new day which now seems quite different. All the pleasant exciting events are over and "Goodbye to the ospreys" is the next stop. It is really amazing how quickly the season has gone.
Tiger Signature
I agree Tiger. We'll see much less of the family now but at least we will know when the juveniles leave thanks to the tracking.
Yes you are right Emma. I have been genuinely surprised at how vibrant the season has been.
Anyway I must be away now as I am really tired.
Nite.
Goodnight Tiger. Wonder where all the night owls are.
Well! This night owl just spend ages reading every page of the previous Daily Update! Brilliant videos everyone - THANK YOU SO MUCH! And, thank you Auntie for the video of Bynack landing - had to laugh at the look on his face, as if to say, "OMG! Did I just do that?" I felt bad that he couldn't hear everyone cheering. He really did look as though he didn't believe it himself. Lovely. And it was fun to read the posts from everyone as he took of, landed, took off, landed, etc., etc. Great.
Alan: I've noticed these two chicks sort of nuzzling each other more than I have previous chicks. Very nice; wonder what prompts that compared to other years...
Still early evening here.....won't be back until later.
Hi Annette. I also loved the look on his face when he landed back on the nest the first time too . I agree with your description!! He seemed stunned he had flown from and back to the nest .
By the end of the day he had polished his landing skills quite a bit. And his squeals of delight are precious . It will be interesting to see how he lands the first time when EJ & Tore are on the nest and he has to judge an empty spot to land . EJ has learned to duck when she sees an incoming Juvie
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
The first night since the eggs were laid in the 2011 season that no one slept on the nest :(
One night owl semi-active here, although poised to roost.....
That must have been a marathon read Annette! There were certainly plenty of good videos and pictures on it, so I hope you got the full story :-)

Barbara: Ah - indeed, another phase in this year's Life at LG!! Everyone out for the night. :-)
Robert: Hey there: A marathon read indeed. Couldn't believe - what? - almost 400 posts? Yes, watched ALL the videos (including yours, thank you!) and admired all the pix and smiled at everyone's enthusiasm.
Must confess I'm out or busy at home most of the day and just can't stay up late like some folks coz I wake up early no matter what time I go to bed - ghastly habit! :-)
This nite-owl still here but ready to turn in. The empty nest looks so EMPTY.
Evening June: Yes, a case of Ye Olde Empty Nest.
