Well, after a hugely exciting day yesterday and a record thread, what will today bring? Will Bynack fledge at 50 days old or will he wait for another day?
Guess we will have to wait and see. No prophecies from me as I am usually wrong....mind you, having said that, I didn't do too bad with Rothes and Rothimurchus migration times did I? :)
Ok, will stick my neck out and say Bynack will wait another day at least. Ok come on, prove me wrong Bynack! :)
ChloeB & Tiger's Osprey Data
Ah, Bynack has moved back on the nest to move the furniture.
Who's this, I wonder?
Bynack is tantalising us with the odd tail feather now and then; and there's lots of osprey calling going on out of sight.
IMAGICAT
I think Bynack will be another Garten. Accidently fledge and crash land somewhere.
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
scylia that has to be EJ . I don't see any white edged juvenile feathers
Maybe EJ is calling Bynack to give him courage . She may have to do what she did with Mallachie and give flying lessons to Bynack. Remember when she would jump and take off, fly in a circle and come back to the nest and do it again and again.

Amazing! :-)))
scylia we were all teasing we would need to knit a scarf and hat for Mallachie for the winter. She would never fly to migrate . She would bat her wings and hang on to a branch on the nest with all of her strength afraid to let go and get airborne
She finally did fly. The same day her younger sister/brother Garten fledged
Barbara; Oh I remember the chat about Mallachie.... Haven't seen Bynack for ages; assume he's off stage right.
I'm going to turn in folks. Will check in the morning to see what's going on.
G'night.
Garten was another issue. She/He fledged just fine. It was her/his lack of landing skills that were a big problem. When EJ saw her/him coming she would duck her head just before she/he got to the nest knowing it was going to be another crash landing !!
She/He was prone to land on anything or anyone in her/his path
One time she/he misjudged the nest so badly she/he slide off the edge and was hanging upside down . The people at the center were watching and were horrified, but somehow she/he righted it's self and was fine .
Morning all. wonderful info and shots last 24 hours. Thank you all so much.
Just captured(letting us know ( I am still here LOL!!)
