Well, it's now "tomorrow" and a new week, so I decided to start new thread because I don't often see this hour of the morning!!
Just been through all today's photos with OH: some good Damselflies but having a difficult time sorting the birds!
Really must pack up and go to bed . Have a good Sunday, everyone - and don't miss Gary's Saturday photos of Toffee on previous thread. And please join with prayers, candles, positive thoughts for Isidora (see QW's post on page 22).
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
ANNETTE good to hear you are back in biking mode. Well done. At the moment my exercise is mainly swimming (40 lengths this am) but when time and weather permit I must get the bike out again. We sponsored a neighbour who this weekend along with her OH and sister and brother in law is cycling from Perth to Culloden (about 125 miles) to raise money for the local hospice. Unfortunately the weather is bad with thunder and lightning here. Andy works for Glenmorangie who are going to double the donations they get. they will be home on Monday - very saddle sore I think.
Thank you for your kind thoughts. I am home for a few hours and we are going to a 40th birthday celeb. Think it was meant to be held in the garden, but in this weather alternative arrangements will have to be made. Golf brollies will not be enough to keep us dry!!!!!
Memories of the poor Thames Whale and the efforts made to save her prove that so many people do care about our fellow creatures. does anyone remember the sad tale of Victor the amorous giraffe who unfortunately died when his heart gave up after a few days of valient efforts to try and save him. I think most of the nation cried!
Afternoon all and thanks for all the earlier chat etc.
Really heavy rain this morning has now stopped and it is a bit brighter. Good job the golf is on the tele as its not good weather for getting out and about. Not cold though with temp around 15c.
It's actually stopped raining for the last few hours so I've managed to get the inside of the car vacumed out. The only problem with an outdoorsy holiday + dog is that the car gets absolutely filthy.
The washing machine hasn't had a rest yet but I've at least managed to get a couple of loads on the line with fingers crossed.
OH has cut the grass which desparately needed doing.
Oh and we've just removed tick number 5 from the side of Mia's face! This one had grown bigger than the others. I'm getting more convinced that the drops don't do what they are supposed to do.
Trish how did you remove it? Apparently you can make ticks fall off by gently rubbing them in a circular motion...perhaps makes them dizzy or sends them into a trance :) Use gloves if you don't like touching them.
