I recently uninstalled Ad Aware 9 . Then I tried to re install it from my Download folder.
The install wizard came up and competed to the final screen which gives a FINISH button . The close X was greyed out.
A message came up telling me the installation had failed.
I tried to close the wizard clicking FINISH since I couldn't close it with the close X
When I clicked on FINISH a message came up saying ''The email address you entered is not valid'' . I don't remember entering an email address actually !!
So the situation is a closed loop. Clicking on FINISH simply brings up this message and I cannot get rid of the install wzard window.
This means I cannot SHUT down which I need to for Updates of one sort or the other. My system no longer likes a lot of Hibernating.
Is anyone able to help me please. The Lavasoft help forums seems useless. Google brings up nothing helpful
Oh dear, I hope someone finds a solution for you.
I've just been out in the garden trying to get 'in flight' photos, I managed a couple of wood pigeons and a Jay, they're not too bad, but the Jay could have been better by being closer, never mind, a bigger lens is on my list of 'things to buy'.
I'm glad your PC is back to normal though, anymore problems, you know where I am, glad I could help.
Becca :-)
Hi Cirrus. If you're using Firefox, the system has been updated to Firefox 5. Yeah, I know Firefox 4 came out only recently but there was quite a lot of crashes :-( I imagine this is why this update is refered to as "Firefox 5" and not by something along the lines of "4.1" or similar. I only found out about the update a few days ago but from a personal point of view it has been a lot of help. Sorry if you already know about this update and I'm just going over old ground. Glad your PC is back to normal :-)
Paul.

I didn't HERON so very many thanks. I thought I HAD the latest Firefox So grateful to you. However, not time currently to do an upgrad but I will later today . Gotta get out now. Thanks so much for thinking about me.
However, Chrome and IE also crash on the YouTube Upload video page :( so do you think it might not be FF but me?
Having said that their is a bloke / girl on the YouTube support forum (that's a ha ha) who has the same problem. Anyway, I'll speak to you later. :)
HERON :( :( I've downloaded FF 5 . Upload page still crashes.
The particular problem about the install wizard window is resolved, now , so if you decide you want to respond to this post Heron, better to either use my ''new'' pc help post or PM me.
Let's let this thread sink to the bottom of the page now, OK?
