A new day begins and fledging draws ever closer. Star reaches day 40 today and Storm 35
An idyllic scene on the nest with both chicks preening.
Tiger Signature
The chicks seem to be home alone just now.
Still alone.
IMAGICAT
And STILL alone! Hi all and thanks again Tiger. :-)
Aww, dammit, Annette - I just took that snap to post ;-D And with the same caption. Oh well, "great minds" :)
Sorry Scylla! I have to do what I can, since I can't possibly compete with you in the video department. :-)
Yesterday, after watching Star try to take the fish from EJ, I thought to myself when they ring them I hope the climbers and ringers have their heavy gloves at the ready. I can envision Star biting someone. She (my guess) is a bold chick .
Of course being bold will serve her well in the future.
I think Storm is a male. Not only the size difference , but he wants either EJ or Star to brood him.

Oh my. I didn't realize I'd turned the sound up and there's this loud rasping call from some creature at LG - for a moment I thought my computer was doing some heavy breathing! Sun is coming up. What is that noise?
Interesting observation about Storm's gender (though I'm not surprised). And yes, Star will be quite a handful to ring. (Hi Barbara Jean!)
You could if you wanted to, Annette, but why should you when you've got Cirrus and Alan and Bruce and Tiger and lil ole me (and others I've omitted, apologies) ;-D
It is so lovely to see a peaceful, dry nest - but I wish something exciting would happen before I have to log off ;)
I have two fans on so I can't hear much even with the sound on full. Also, I only have netbook speakers. I wonder if I could wifi this to my TV?
Well you've hit the nail on the head Scylla; all you talented people just give me time to do the ironing, cooking, gardening. By something exciting you mean like a fish? It's 9 p.m. here and I'll be up another hour. Barbara often stays up later, but I like to be in bed by 10:30. What IS that noise? It's stopped now....
