Morning all: Happy new week.
MARGO: Welcome back!! :-))
Wendy: Thanks for keeping us up to date on Margo's Big Adventure.
dibnlib: How nice to bump into Margo et al.
Lindybird: Yes, June Gloom highly predictable; if you know of anyone planning to come to California in June, tell them not to expect beach weather, but can be pretty hot away from the coast. Re new dark countertops that don't show dirt, have been horrified to find globs of dried up sticky stuff on ours; now have to bend over and catch the light on the surface to see what needs to be scrubbed.
Diane: Only four feet from a deer? Wow. Pretty impressive, especially after looking at the pix! Maybe whistle a happy tune or put bells on your shoes next time?
Jay-Me: Vacation time sounds nice and relaxing!
Lynette: Thanks for clarifying which part of you is hurting! :-) Nice that all your furniture is finally set up; now enjoy it.
OK, off to fix dinner; back later.
Afternoon all,
Weather is dull and quite windy at the moment although we did have some sunny intervals earlier. Went for a quick visit to Barnwell this morning to check on the swans with 8 cygnets. All is well there but no kingfishers around today unfortunately. Then we went to the Elton Garden Store and had some lunch and wandered around the garden centre. Managed to avoid buying anything on this occasion. Came home and then took Hamish for his afternoon walk. This morning when I was out with Hamish I again heard the cuckoo. Getting a bit late for them now so quite surprised to be still hearing one
Thanks for all the earlier chat. Off to catch up on the webcams now.
AAACK; How do I change the date! (Thanks OG!)
Ah! Just Edit the title - duh! Done! Sorry 'bout that -
Gosh, its quiet on here today- everyone must be out and about. It cleared up here, and we did things in the garden this afternoon, in a little sunshine. Dark forbidding clouds all round us, though, so I'm sure someone is going to get wet...
Hi to all - Yes, Its quiet here today! I enjoyed seeing margo yesterday before she headed to the airport ,en route to reunion with her OH and Billie. She was definitely suffering from a throaty cold, and I so hope that it won't develop into a chest infection, because as we know, Margo is prone to these things. I think that she enjoyed her week, but we will have to wait for margo to give us her opinion. I suspect that she will say that she was cold at times, and - just my own thoughts- I worried about her in the chalet, alone, no TV , no home comforts. Her chalet mate was on opposite shifts. However there were lots of positive reports about the ospreys and other things that Margo observed! I'm sure that she will post as soon as she is able.
I am sure that Billie will have been thrilled to see Margobird back home and think Margo will be glad of warmth and home comforts again.
Much easier bike ride this am. Just a couple of miles and mostly well away from traffic. Needed to get confidence back again after the other day when we were too close to busy fast traffic for my comfort.
Going to settle down in front of tv in 35 mins and watch 125 years of Wimbledon.
Hi folks. Looking forward to hearing Margo's report on her LG adventure. I'd have loved to be there to meet her and the others - maybe another time. Didn't have any success at our competition yesterday. Perhaps I wasn't really well enough to compete. We're sitting now watching the US Open Golf. Rory McIlroy is doing really well - hope he keeps his cool! He's such a pleasant young man and we're all really proud of him.
Hi folks, first time on this week as busy in morning with Junior Church Birthday Service and then had Son and DinL over for a Fathers' Day dinner.
Thanks for all your news.
Dibnib - you put me to shame, I am afraid I only go out on my bike when I really have to but should in fact try to more often as its a bit of exercise!!!!!!!!!!!
OG - do hope you begin to feel better soon.
Looking forward to hearing from Margobird.

Annette - hope the problem with the builders can be sorted before tempers really fray. Lets hope the owner will be more respectful of the rules after OH has made the complaint and hopefully look into it. It would be nice if it was solved without outside interference!!!
Good luck with the trench building ready for your new fountain - you'll have to take a pic and post it when its up and running!!!!!!!!!!lol.
Hmmm. Typed responses to all, but the site was really slow and my words of wisdom have disappeared into the ethernet! Let's see if this one gets through...
Oh dear, am too tired to recreate my posts; nothing compelling - just wishing ailing and tired folk better days and looking forward to hear how Margobird is. Take care everyone and have a good Monday!
