Hi everyone :-)
Thanks for all the brilliant updates, observations, pics, links etc. on yestarday's thread. Wonderful to see how quickly Star and Storm are growing. Thankfully the wind has subsided and I hope it stops bothering the LG Ospreys for the rest of the season.
EJ's awake at the moment, enjoying a good preen.

Odin mooches around the nest for a while before flying off. EJ wastes no time in feeding the chicks!

Bye Lynette, and hello Heron and Cirrus. Nice shots of the two chicks standing up to be fed :-)
Hello to Barbara too. I'm sure there would be a relief effort the moment a chick were confirmed to have fallen. Fingers crossed it never happens though!!
Well, I've got to go to work so I really would appreciate a fish report when number 7 comes in . Thank you.
It's been great to view all your fantastic pics Osprey fans. I'll look in very much later before I go to bed.
Oh, hi and bye RtheB , enjoy the evenings viewing
Bye Cirrus, thanks for your snapshots too :-) Not sure how much I'll be around here this evening, as I have some (boring) computer work to catch up on which really requires concentration, but I'll try to keep the video running in the background and at least report, if not record the fish delivery.
Isn't EJ looking in good condition! Clearly Odin is providing more than enough fish for the three of them :-)
To gauge how much the chicks have grown look at their size compared to the egg laying behind Storm.
EDIT: EJ is so clever. Star climbed up and was on the "other side" of EJ and the fish. It was getting close to the edge of the nest . So EJ moved the fish closer to the log :)

Absolutely Barbara. It's hard to believe now that they came out of something that size! Using EJ as a guide at about 2ft from head to tail, I'd say Star is about 9-10 inches in the same direction, and Storm maybe 6-7
RtheB, here's the link to asfbin
http://www.videohelp.com/tools/AsfBin
which i used last year... as i said, it's not idea, but at least it does let you cut video.,.. last year i would record in hour segments and if anything happened in them i could usually find with trial and error the right point to cut. it seems like it may have been updated with a preview since i last used, which might make it more usder friendly but i haven't used it this year yet...
since i've been on windows 7 as opposed to xp i use media player 12 to stream as opposed to vlc, and media player doesn't have recording facilities
.. and yes, my user name is lotr referenced
edit.. there's also a piece of freeware software called asftools which i'm going to try out later, but as yet i haven't seen how good it is...
EJ flies in with a large stick ... watch out kids!
