I have decided to start this thread for discussing technical issues that come up rather than messing up the other threads.
I guess the first issue seems to be pasting Word text into posting boxes.
Recently we have had three threads lockup up as a result of posts involving Word text.

When I type clipboard in search I cannot click on anything to show clip baord.
Googling seems to say Vista does not have a clipboard.
Tiger so when I Highlight BBc Page to copy I do not get a Copy to clipboard hence I copy and save it quick note
:):) oh lordy this is a nightmare :):)
Try this You highlight the text and right click of the mouse brings up a menu like so.
Vista does have a clipboard Kate just the same as Windows 7 does or Windows XP. We don't see the clipboard but when we highlight something then left-click it there is an option to 'copy'. Alternately we can use the keyboard shortcut CTRL C after highlighting. Whatever we have highlighted is copied. It is a basic function of Windows copy and paste.

Wow. You can even view the clipboard.
See here
Kate, you put the BBC url into the link url box at the top, after first deleting the word here which will now be in there.

Thanks Chloe I realise and understand when I copy it is stored (in the clouds or wherever) until I paste it in.
So we are back again.
with
1. copy/ paste BBC link
2.Draw cursor across link
3.link says insert/edit
4. click insert and url is filled in with BBC
