I have decided to start this thread for discussing technical issues that come up rather than messing up the other threads.
I guess the first issue seems to be pasting Word text into posting boxes.
Recently we have had three threads lockup up as a result of posts involving Word text.

I am using Vista now with this link BBC
As you can see it works exactly the same. So yes, Vista has a clipboard.

I am certain you have a clipboard.
Just highlight a piece of text and then <right click> your mounse an a menu will come up. Click copy and the highlighted text will be copied to your clip board.
No Kate, you type the word HERE in the message body then highlight it with your cursor.

LOL!!! OK
Where do I type HERE
1 after BBC link
2before BBC LINK
3 or Just the word.HERE and then when I get the box up what do I do???:):)
But Kate you have to be copying the url to the clipboard to be able to paste it into notepad or quicknote!
Kate why do you think you have not got a clipboard? The clipboard is not visible to us.
You go into rich formatting. Type in your message including the word you are using as a link ie in this case HERE. Highlight the word and the link icon comes up. Then you paste your url into the box that comes up.

The point is that you are not taking aboard the message that you must get the BBC URl (or any other one) into your clipboard FIRST
