Yes always beware of what comes with Freeware.

I have not checked it out but it probably involves disablin an add on.

Thank you TIGER . It's worse than that though. Google gives me a host of stuff on YouTube which I have tried to no avail so far.  I think the BacupRestore to before I updated the free Down Loader might be best , what do you think?

You can try that but I am not sure it will help. What browser are you using?

If it is IE then go to <tools> <manage add ons>

It fastened on to Internet Explorer (dunno why but I'm thankful Firefox is OK)

I'm dismayed you think a Backup Restore won't remove it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

These are detailed instructions I found for removing Babylon from Internet Explorer.  If I were attempting it I would print it off so's to keep track...  Hope it's helpful, very sorry if not.  

Remove Babylon Search from Internet Explorer:

Step 1: Go to Internet Explorer browser. Click on Tools and then select Manage add-ons option.

Step 2: Then select Toolbars and Extensions to see all installed toolbars and extensions for Internet Explorer.

Step 3: You may see Babylon Toolbar, Babylon toolbar helper, and Babylon IE plugin entries.

Step 4: Select Disable option after Right-clicking  on all Babylon entries one-by-one.

Step 5: After this, Next, click on Add-on Types, click Search Providers to see Bing and Search the web (Babylon) entry.

Step 6: Select Bing and then click Set as default button, and then select Search the web (Babylon) entry, right-click on the same and then select Remove option.

Step 7: At last again click on Tools and then select Internet Options> General tab>new home page>click Use default button>click Apply button to get rid of Babylon Search from new tab page as well.

I need help. Can someone tell me how to delete a facebook account. I previously have deleted and it took me ages and the message was when you log in again it is active. I logged in as a friend from work I got the e-mail. I have so many stupid friends request and now seems, it has spread to a friend and all the friend requests are from no-one I know.

Has anyone had this problem. I did manage to close it but it is not easy and would welcome help. please

thanks doggie, you are right I did de-activate it and still get e-mails. I had a message from a good friend and wanted to be in touch and yes it activated again. I finally now have de-activated but think the only way I can stop mails is to make my profile empty but that means activating again. I despise Facebook but hope by de-activating my friend will not get silly friends requests and I am sick of people I do not know sending me friends requests. Believe me it is not easy to leave Facebook and you still get e-mails.

doggie, I de-activated mine before but still get friend requests and I opened one 2 days ago from a really good friend and my account was opened again. I finally have de-activated again and you know it is not easy.

I do want to say to all you can look at Facebook without and account e.g Dyfi so do not be put off by looking.

To de-activate you have to search and it is not easy.

Thanks friend and I am going to completely remove. I first de-activated as your whole life was going to be put into a file so everyone can see it. Not nice without permission.

I did think that was the end of it and now realise apparantly not.
