I have decided to start this thread for discussing technical issues that come up rather than messing up the other threads.
I guess the first issue seems to be pasting Word text into posting boxes.
Recently we have had three threads lockup up as a result of posts involving Word text.

Your link indicates a secure site pointing to the actual 'jpg' photo, while mine attempts to show the entire FB page with the photo on it.....it did work before but seems faulty now...tis a mystery at the moment :o?
Just switched on and all seems fine now....no error messages...?:~)
I never had the Dyfi Chicks in my Goggle Earth. Now I am having a problem getting the them into Google Earth.
I followed the directions to install it and I have a place on the left that says "Dyfi Osprey Migration", but when I double click on it I don't get anything.
None of the Chicks names appear under the Dyfi Osprey Migration tab as they do under Loch Garten tab
What have I done wrong?

Open GE
click on ADD (top of page)
click on NEWORK LINK
in NAME bar type DYFI OSPREYS
in LINK bar type
http://users.aber.ac. uk/vrk/einion2011.kmz (dunno why some is in black and some in blue TYPE IT ALL IN LINK BAR
THEN:
click on REFRESH TAB blow the ''address'' bar
Time based Refresh - click on down arrow and click PERIODICALLY
Then click the tiny arrows next to HOUR till you get 12 chancge seconds to zero
OK your done
click OK
This will give you ALL THREE of the Ospreys
Hi Barbara, I just tried double-clicking on the names and nothing happened. This was because none of the place boxes had been checked.
I normally start up GE and then select a box. I then right-click and select refresh from the drop-down dialogue box as needed. You could check to make sure you have typed everything correctly. Cirrus has given some very nice instructions above if you need to start again. Just to add that there is no space after the ac. and before uk/
I seem to have done strange things above while playing with making the image smaller and trying to get it to left justify !

Originally I had put in "Dyfi Osprey Migration" as stated on the Facebook directions and that appears to be incorrect. It should be just "Dyfi Ospreys ." Then I had not done the "refresh part"
When I clicked the drop down it said refresh " never" LOL I fixed that .

Can anyone help, I have had three messages today, saying people are following me and one I definately know is not. The other two positive are not also. The messages are going into my junk mail folder on hotmail. When I go to my profile nothing to say these friends are following me. I have all the tick boxes unticked no notifications etc.
ARE they RSPB community members B&B ?????
That's the first question.
Post their names here so we can all see who they are and between us we should know if they are part of our community or maybe, trolls.
CIRRUS , i am one of the people B&B mentioned , two others i know are members.. i have just made a friend on the community and the e/mail from RSPB says we are now friends .. also another e/mail from RSPB says the same person is now following me.. i wonder if this is now normal for the RSPB to do ????????
PS --CIRRUS . do you or anybody knows how to cancel the person following you
