I have decided to start this thread for discussing technical issues that come up rather than messing up the other threads.
I guess the first issue seems to be pasting Word text into posting boxes.
Recently we have had three threads lockup up as a result of posts involving Word text.

Yes Tiger is excellent at that.

Is anyone able to suggest why I am not recording sound with my videos?
I have a flat screen but two little speakers on my desk.
OK, I'm trying posh links.

EDIT Cor blimey! It works! Thank you Tiger. What a great tutor you are. Now for the real one . . .
Hazel B said: Tiger :) your patience is soooooo appreciated. Now I don't have to ask others to post links, it properly frustrated me this morning. I don't know what your main subject is, Tiger, but I think your teaching skills are the best I've come across. Considering I was actually intimitated by you weeks ago (please don't take that in the wrong way) I think you are a very thoughtful, very patient, tutor.

I never had the patience to do that when I worked, the guys I worked with said my favourite saying was "how many times do I have to tell you" !!!

Mary thank you. I do not think that the highlighted phase is very helpful in teaching. Much better is "You can ask as many times as you want"
This is probably my favourite teaching story.
For some reason I get on well with Italian families. Anyway I had taught a boy of theirs called Claudio. The mum came in and said we would like you to teach Fabio but Fabio is not as good as Claudio.
Anyway I tend to make my own mind about things. Fabio was about 14 at the time. Me and him just got on. In about a year or two he was doing so well that he did not need my tuition. Anyway I met his mum some years later and I asked what Fabio was doing? He is doing a PhD in mathematics says she. I think is is possibly the greatest turn around of my life. He got his PhD by the way.

Thank you.
My last thought is that without willing students one cannot teach anything. Thanks to all of you you who make "posh links" such an enjoyable topic!

That is why you are the expert at teaching and I am just plain rubbish at it LOL...
