I have decided to start this thread for discussing technical issues that come up rather than messing up the other threads.
I guess the first issue seems to be pasting Word text into posting boxes.
Recently we have had three threads lockup up as a result of posts involving Word text.
Tiger Signature
Cirrus We do not actually post code. We normally upload it to something like photobucket and then copy it across with copy and paste.

I assume this is the image you're trying to upload
It must have [ IMG ] at the beginning and [ /IMG ] at the end without the spaces and after the first ] it must start with http no equals sign.
It isn't moving though, and that might be how you saved it
Best wishes Chris

OK Tiger, thanks, but I think that's what I did. Inasmuch as - I uploaded my image to ''freeimagehosting'' site - uploaded it and then copyed and pasted the code they gave me.
They said if it did not work to try the code in the box below. This one didn't work AT ALL LoL so I have replaced it with the code that has at least given me an image. (I think)
Did I do that correctly?
Cirrus you need to copy and paste the image rather than copying and pasting the URL. Could you not see your image on that site?

You have made the text in your signature box into a link. An IMG file can't be a link, it just needs to be ordinary text.
How's this one:
[img=http://www.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/f924a7e4c9.gif] This line of text will never work
Your text needs to read [ IMG ]http://freeimagehosting.net/uploads/f92a7e4c9.gif[ /IMG ] without the spaces in front of and after the words IMG and it can't be a link
Cirrus I just copied and pasted Chris's animation in rich text formatting mode. This is what you need to do in your sig box, copy the image from the website and paste it in. Working with links can get complicated if you don't understand HTML code.
another thought, that is a large size image box and might be too big for the signature box
Cirrus Try copying this into your signature first.
We are all saying pretty much the same thing. Cirrus, take note :)

No, she half sobs.
