Evening a;;: Just starting things off, but not sticking around very long as it's been a busy day and I'm fading..... However, it's light already at LG - foggy too by the looks of it. EJ awake and looking about...
EDIT: Well, hit Post and the day cam came on - looks misty.....
Odin has just arrived with a whole fish. EJ carefully rose up from her eggs to take the fish and flew off. Odin is gingerly getting into position over the eggs, head down, paddling below and settles.

EJ is back on the nest. Didn't see the changeover.
LINDYBIRD, apologies to Kipling! I should have attributed the line.

Evening all,
Hi Heron. What a good boy you were..bet you scared the life out of your mum at the time!!
The weather here (Lancashire) has been, as we say, 'Crackin't'flags' That's very warm to all south of Watford and North of Carlisle!!
We trundled off to a local reservoir and spent hours watching a real variety of birds. I think the highlight of the day was seeing a pair of crested grebes mating and a pair of goosanders doing likewise. We heard a grasshopper warbler and got a fleeting glimpse of what was possibly a red kite, but the jury's out on that one. There were all the usual suspects, cormorant, canada and greylag geese, redshank, ring plover, blackheaded gulls and the sweetest flotilla of mallard chicks following mum. We watched as they hurled themselves from the bank into a stream as mum was calling them. It was a drop of about 2 feet but must have seemed like an abyss to the tiny things. They all made it. Phew!
so no EJ/Odin watching for me today. Just peeked at her looking resplendant as usual on the nest. I'll only grab the odd peek this evening as I'm off for a job interview tomorrow so will be swotting up on boring stuff.
Happy osprey watching. :)
Odin just brought in a fish

Oops, thanks Annette. Got the wrong person. Credit to Cirrus then. Thanks for further updates and pics.
