Happy Easter to all
Alan says. . . . Another hot day. Even hotter than yesterday with the temp now 24.8c .Hey Alan - Hot????? We call that "mild". Today expecting 23C here, currently 22.6C.
I have some catching up to do. My apologies to those whose questions I’ve not answered.
Sheila says AQ . . . . I love your travelogue! You are so descriptive and your photos are lovely too. I take it you have an interest in churches. Is this from an historical perspective, or architectural? Sheila - Both really. I like old things and I love the stonework and shape of old churches. I don’t go into it too deeply. Couldn’t name the styles.
OG says AQ . . . . Oh dear! Sorry the paint saga doesn’t have a happy ending. Is it just reflecting the colour of the carpet? OG - We thought at first it was just the reflection but we have laid a quite red Turkish mat across one end and paint is still greenish. We shall just have to buy more paintings and cover the walls as I saw in some stately homes in England. LOL
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOAN.
Enjoy your day.
Hi everyone.Looks like a lovely sunny day in this neck of the woods. Thanks for all your updates, links, and pics. Joan: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!Annette: Sorry to hear you're unwell. Hope whatever it is, does a quick vanishing act
Happy Friday :-)
Paul.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOAN have a lovely day.
Good morning Lindybird just having a quick peek before I settle down to watch the wedding. Even have lunchtime sandwich ready and waiting in the fridge but what a rush to get all done. Have a good day.
Margobird
......have been tidying up, and watching the arrivals of The Famous at the Abbey - poor Victoria Beckham looked smart, but seems to think that if she cracks a smile she might have some lines on her face!
Notice that my pic for Joan didn't come out for some reason - here's another in case the 1st didnt work for you:
- Cyprus in autumn. (hope you enjoyed your lunch out, Joan)
dibnlib: Loved your Dumbledore and your pretty flowers. Also, thanks for all the great pics of LG - we can't have enough of those!
Sheila: Lovely pics of views from out of your window - looks idyllic.
Tiger: Thanks for the funny link to the Cats V Dogs voting!
AQ: Nice to hear that you enjoyed your dinner out - even if you had to pay for it yourself! ;-) Good Friday Smile.
OG: Hope your son can get started somewhere else, where he feels more comfortable. He needs somewhere where he can feel at home.
Dog is now agitating as he can possibly see the postman coming up the road - he needs to do his duty and give him a good bark! - it may be someone else, as don't know if we are getting any post today. A strange Bank Holiday - I feel as if its Saturday now so will be really confused tomorrow!
Must get this in before Joan leaves
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOAN
I hope you day goes SPLENDIDLY
Must get this is as fast as possible
may your day go SPLENDIDLY
OH, I thought my first post got sucked down a drain 'ole. Well, greetings are always worth saying twice ! :)
Lindybird - your mention of flag reminds me. The correct description is normally Union Flag. The term Union Jack only applies when it is actually flown on the jackstaff on a ship! Call me pedantic if you like.
Hi margo - you came on while I was wittering away. I'm looking forward to watching most of the goings on, and doing a bit of the Dreaded Ironing at the same time! Shall have something on toast for lunch whilst they are all leaving the Abbey, I expect.
I'm feeling better - the medication is something I tried last year but gave up on, and now I'm giving it another go in case the side effects wear off after a few days of use. Its only a minor thing compared to what a lot of folks have to put up with. We are very pleased with Buzz, as he seems to have responded to his treatment and is more his old self again. Will take him with us tomorrow when we go to visit Son, Wife & Sweetpea!
Good morning, Pedantic!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
