Just reading of the missing osprey chick at Wigtown on the BBC news. Not sure if it has been mentioned anywhere here as I didn't have time to read through the blog.

Alan It does sound confusing. This is exactly what it says.
JC, the presumed female chick, which took her first flight only last week, was last seen on July 22.
