Just a wee update to say that all is well at Osprey HQ despite another horrendous week with torrential rain, few fish & another long absence of M. I have aged 30 years this season - up to now!! I am hoping that the chicks will be ringed very soon but no word yet. XL is not fishing yet but I am sure she will any day.
Tried to upload pic but not letting mr for somr reason so here is a link.....

One question - Nest B at Rutland. When Mark went up to collect the 1 surviving chick to be ringed 33(11) was it reported whether there were any unhatched eggs within the nest. There were reports earlier in the season that the eggs may have become chilled when the nest was left unattended for a while.

Tiger Signature
All part of the food chain I suppose. Not good for osprey fans though!

It seems that the owl came back for second helpings :(
I do not think I have ever seen that happen before.
