It Was Beyond Compare. Last night we decided that unless the news was positive in the morning our holiday in Wales was going to end on a down note. Well FB was positive but then it has sounded positive before. We decided to call in at Dyfi on the off chance that something was happening before lunch. we arrived at about 11.30am and it all seemed quiet. Then at 11.50am Nora got up and it was clear that one of the eggs had a crack. All thoughts of lunch got postponed after that...indeed eating got postponed to well after 3pm. It was the most fantastic experience.

thanks auntie for the news from finland... I checked the Hailuoto still-cam first thing this morning but mum was sitting tight on the eggs (and chick as I now know)
Cats and women will do as they please. Dogs and men should relax and get used to it.
Tweet from Dyfi - "YES!! She's cracked it, both chicks are being fed! Well done Nora!!"
2 chicks feeding at Dyfi - just hours old:

Recent tweet from Dyfi:
"Nice big trout brought in by Monty. Chicks both got a small amount before getting covered by Monty. Nora still getting the hang of feeding"
They don't seem at all surprised that the male is brooding the chicks!
