Hazel: Quote from the Wildlife Canvas blog:
"good news all it is definitely her. Lady is back. Peter is busy which is why I am sending this but he has confirmed it. The osprey before was i different bird. I wonder what highlights we will get from Lady this season. Hopefully it wont be quite as eventful as last season with the illness. You can all celebrate now"
Thanks Alan. (I shall raise my glass of red wine to Lady this evening)
Annette : Already raising a can of lager to Lady. Despite all the odds she has returned once more. This is what makes ospreys so amazing. They continue to surprise us.
I really can't believe it, but if Alan Petrie and Peter Ferns say it is, it must be so. Early to bed tonight for tomorrows instalment. Happy days.
It is not Lady's bedtime just yet, she is still there as it gets dark!

Hi, I just had a slight worrying thought, do you think it is ok for me to put that photo on the blog, with the new copyright restrictions they have? It is my own photo, of their screen. Perhaps I should erase it ?
This is such wonderful news. I rather doubted we would see her again after the events of last year. When I came back to the laptop to read this blog I checked the webcam and she was sitting there in the gloom. I'm as delighted as you all are.

I would be delighted if this really is Lady Marge - but where are you getting Peter Ferns' quote from? The latest on the LotL blog is from Jonathan saying the bird which visited twice was not her, and it was already "as the day draws to a close", so I don't think they would get a definite ID after that!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
OG : It was confirmed on the Wildlife canvas blog which is a spin off from last years LOTL blog. Just after 18:45:

She is still on the nest on cam 1.

Thanks, Alan. Shan't try logging into that one - difficult to sort "the wood from the trees"!
