Rutland Ospreys 2011

Can anyone tell me why I keep getting 'edit tags' a 'pencil' and now I've got a x on my LOTL thread post?  What am I doing wrong?  Thanks in anticipation of any help!!

Hi Ruthie,

You're not doing anything wrong - they are function buttons. 

• Clicking on "edit tags" enables you to enter keywords, which is supposed to make it easier to search for topics, though I'm not sure if it really does.   
• The yellow triangle with the ! on it, which appears for all forum posts, is a "Report abuse" button, which can be used for reporting posts which breach the Terms & Conditions of the site to the moderators.  
• The green pencil is the Edit button - click on it if you want to correct something in your post, or add to it. 
• The red x can be used to delete your post - but is only displayed for a limited time, or if no-one has replied to it.

Thanks Sue.  I had begun to wonder why no-one else had them on their posts.  As I'm a relatively novice blogger I was sure I wasn't using the right buttons to post!

This morning spent a couple of hours in the Shallow Water hide at Manton Bay. As Sandy reported there is a major twitch going on at Manton Bay so the usual array of Hubble telescopes were on display. It was more like Jodrell Bank than Rutland Water. The object of all this attention is a very ordinary looking Spotted Sandpiper which was way across the other side of the bay. Anyway here are some pics of real birds:
