LOL Lindybird not sure what my diet will be if I go to Heaven.  Of course HP sauce is a definite must and OH will have baked beans with his egg and chips and lashings of HP and 3 slices of bread and butter.

Meant to say, but I have been busy, that I'm so glad your sister is improving, margo, and hope you can visit her soon.

Thanks Lindybird just hoping my brother-in-law will find out more soon but at least it is looking better than it did this time last week.

You would be very welcome to come to egg, chips and beans feast, I have a large tin so there would be plenty.

Have to tell you all about Rocpool -our fav restaurant - and if any of you come to Inv we would happily take you there. Once owned by 3 people, a businessman, a restauranteur and a chef, it is now solely owned by chef who is now an excellent front of house. The food is inspired though not to everyones liking as the portions are fairly small. I can only say that in the many years it has been opened we have never given it less than 10/10. We go to many other places in the local area but inevitably end up saying the same thing "No one can beat Rocpool" in this area. For travellers in our wonderful country please try "Three Chimneys" on Skye (once heard a group of diners from London saying they couldn't better it) and The Peat Inn near St Andrews and Ostlers Close in Cupar.

OK enough of food,back to the exercise - I managed 10 lengths breaststroke, 2 back crawl and 2 lenghts walking in the pool. It is a fitness club but the pool is still a reasonable 20 metres so I was well pleased with myself. now have the confidence back to start going on a regular basis again, though OH will have to take me as still don't feel able to tackle public transport yet.   

Afternoon all just catching up with all the chat, can I have tomato ketchup with my egg and chips. Today here has been bright and sunny and I thought that my garage door was on fire and it was the heat from the sun drying out the dampness from the door and the temp was 5C.

Took SiL and her sister shopping on Wednesday SiL to asda and her sister to B &Q and sainsbury and then went and had lunch at the local hotel I had salmon and smoked haddock pancake with chips followed by a nice apple crumble and custard.

Yesterday I took a trip to Vane Farm to see what was happening and the car park was still like a skating rink but the trip was worth it as I saw a sea eagle which was sitting watching the ducks and occasionally flying into the air to try and frighten the ducks to come off the water so that it could have a duck for its lunch. There are still parts of the loch frozen.

Going to SiL tomorrow  for a meal and a few drinks as it is an easy walk there and back.

WISHING ALL A HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR 

Mentioned prior to Christmas that OH was taking someone over to Fort william to visit his parents for 2 weeks. the journey of course was spectacular and OH said he had never seen the Ben look so spectacular. I was so sad I had not been able to go. He now tells me he is doing the return journey on Monday and has been given permission to take me with him. Trouble is of course that most of the snow has goneso will probably say no as Dillon would be left on his own for up to 5 hours.

For me it is bacon, fried egg ,fried bread and tomato, with of course hp sauce though OH likes tomato ketchup. Laughed when a friend said she was disappointed at Simpsons (prior to renovation) when she asked for full English and baked beans. they said sorry no baked beans, she said well please could I have them as an extra. no sorry she was told, we don't do baked beans. I can just imagine her mouth dropping open in disbelief!!!  I am a bit of an oddity and only like baked beans cold and with salad.  On that note in case I do not dare come back again
