HAPPY NEW WEEK!
I hope everyone has a good week.
Sorry I'm late starting the thread tonight. I forgot it was Saturday. LOL
We have extreme storms forecast for Sunday (hurricane-force winds, tornadoes, large hail, flooding, and lightning are all possible), so I was preparing. The birds must know about the threat, because they've been equally busy today. They seem distressed. Lightning hit a house across the creek from me last night, and crews have been clearing downed trees and powerlines across the county today.
Tomorrow is the Indianapolis 500 race. 300,000 fans will be at the track. Officials wouldn't cancel it, despite the dire weather forecast. If the expected storm arrives, people will be in the stands out in the open with no shelter!
Sending strength to all of you facing ill health and adversity. I care about all of you.
Weather looks so bad Diane. Do take care. Can't believe they didn't cancel the race. Thank you again for the new week.
Morning Diane
Thanks as always for starting new week.,and apologies for not thanking you for remembering me,(One day up One day down but thankful for everyone's care)
Hope your Pneumonia has now eased, scary to think of your weather and how silly not to cancel that race, trusting there will not be any injuries etc.
To everyone else Hoping , Health concerns will not be to devastating for you all.
Prayers and Hugs being sent.Enjoy ,Families , Holidays and what else you can.
So sorry to hear about the extreme forecast for your neck of the woods Diane. Ye gods may the weather not manifest as extreme as 'they' forecast And may all the wildlife not only survive any onslaught but thrive despite it. More floppin cloud seeding I suspect It's high time to stop that. Light and love to you Diane . My thoughts of well being and strength to you
Thank you DIANE - and I do hope that the awful weather passes you by. Take care...

Good grief. 22 hours since the last post? Hope everyone is okay/busy/or having too much fun.
Diane: How were the storms? More to come?
We had the appendages over for small (belated) b/day party for OH yesterday. Granddaughter baked cake with strawberries and fresh cream; we have one-third of the remainder (1/3 each went home with daughter/gdaughter and Ms D) and I'm tempted to pour some sherry over the cake, add more strawberries and cream and pretend it's a trifle.
Annette, it's a Bank Holiday here today so perhaps people (except me!) are out doing things. I'm stuck with the computer on my lap, just like most days!!
I like the sound of your DIY trifle - any chance of some?
PatO; Stay tuned. I'll let you now how my DIY trifle goes.... It's Memorial Day here; so lots of rememberance events for veterans and family BBQs.
Cirrus, memories of my mother there, who never ever swore, but often said "Ye Gods.." !!!
I spent a lot of yesterday in bed, and feel a little better today as not coughing so much now. I took a covid test today and it was negative, so don't know if I've had it & am now on the mend, or if I've had something else.
Do hope that Diane is OK in that extreme weather.
Annette, happy belated Birthday to your OH. Nice to have the family celebrate with you.
Glad you are on the mend LINDY Take care.
