HAPPY NEW WEEK and HAPPY FULL MOON!
The moon turns full on Thursday in the UK and the US.
I saw my first Ruby-Throated Hummingbird of the year today. He will probably stay around. I have a towering old locust tree behind my house on the creek levee. Growing on the tree is an old-fashioned wild trumpet flower vine with red-orange flowers. The hummingbirds love those blossoms. A pair stay for the summer every year.
I hope everyone has a good week. Love and hugs to all.
Diane: Apart from tornadoes in your area (I only looked at today's forecast), the weather folks are forecasting a much busier and more dangeros hurricane season for the Gulf this year.
Lindybird: I get dry cough with allergies, but I think it's a GERD symptom too. Then again, it could be just a regular old cough. :-)
Thanks, Annette-- I had to Google GERD! But yes, I used to get reflux but have been on meds for it, for years. I do often have a dry cough which the Nurse at our surgery once told me is a symptom which comes with my blood pressure meds & doesn't matter unless it becomes severe. This cough is accompanying a head full of something & my ears are blocked. I often get a bad head with infections. Grr. My OH also had a dry throat a few days ago but he's OK now. He is ignoring his broken tooth but I bet its annoying!! He's looking for the postman to see if we have any letters from the NHS but I think we're more likely to have a phone call from them about his tests.
Sorry to dominate with all our boring medical stuff....
Diane, I love Iris but then I love a lot of different flowers! :-)
Just buming us up.
Warmer and dry here today, hooray!!
I had a bad night again and have come to the conclusion that I may have covid, as there is a new strain going around. Sue suggested I get tested for it, but I can't see the point as I am not seeing anyone except my OH anyway, and he had this dry throat and cough before I did. I just sent him out to do the shopping as we need food for the weekend, so I cut the list in half and sent him off -- it'll be interesting to see what he comes home with as he hates shopping!
I may go back to bed at some point today. Frustrating as there's lots to do in the garden.
LINDY: I'm so sorry that you're sick. I hope you kick whatever it is quickly. Go back to bed.
Well, I said this would be a short one as I finish my busy week. I have completed the magazine proof-reading and corrections and E-E has gone down to the church to print it. When he comes back, I shall send the email copies out . As often seems to happen, it is the same weekend that I am on the rota for intercessions tomorrow, so I have also been preparing that. I didn't sleep much last night, so I think tiredness will hit me around teatime, but with the essentials done, all will be well. Car passed its MoT test this morning; mowing man came and scarified our grass at lunchtime, so a varied day - luckily no rain.
LINDY and OG You are both having a bad time of it, wishing you better soon
