Maya and 33(11) have taken turns incubating their precious eggs and we should see the first hatch towards the end of the first week in May.
17.08 Maya stands up, and we see little bob bobbing about and looking strong after the earlier incident of being flung out of the nest cup by a flapping fish, then being rescued and put back by the Rutlands Osprey Project team.
Maya starts fiddling with the nest furnishings, and picks up a stick, hits little bob with it and then lays it down over his neck!
Bob's been in the wars today, good thing they're tougher than they look! She moves the stick to a more appropriate place and settles down to brood him.
Thanks Geemeff, my they were off the mark and quick, 3 cheers for the Rutland Team
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

No no, I'm the one in need of the gin & tonic!
Thanks Richard, you get a good idea now what it looks like
Here's one for you then!
Can you reach it via land or is it actually in the water?
This is my shaky footage from the hide last year, borrowed camera and I'm not very good with it ( I'm an iphone clicker!)
but it will give you an idea of the location of the nest
Edit Cross post with Richard - his footage is much better than mine!
The youngster needs some spinach to grow muscles super quick!
