Asha & Brodie
The partnership has matured this season, with Asha continuing her good female role (and she loves nest-building) and Brodie being more reliable, both fishing and incubating.
The pair have fought their way thru all kinds of nasty weather - snow, wind and rain - and intruders, including the dreaded KL5 Klive, have been a nuisance but not dangerous...
so far.

EDIT
********
Sadly, the month of May heralded irresistible aggression from BlueKL5 "Klive", who had ruined the end of last season for the 2 juvies.
Within the first 2 days Klive had driven Brodie from the area (tho Brodie did return a couple of times to dive-bomb Klive, to no effect) and destroyed the eggs. He commenced to woo Asha clumsily, selfishly and inappropriately, as can be seen from the following pages.
IMAGICAT
I've been in London today, but catching up with FB on the way home I found a photo or two by Val Gall, who many of you will remember if an excellent photographer, and has her own fish pond, and a couple of nests!! One of the males came in with a very large blue fish either yesterday or the day before. I asked whether it was from her pond or further afield. She said it was her pond. Next question, was the large blue fish we saw Brodie bring in a Blue Trout too. She said ' yes' 'definitely'!! So from an experts opinion, we have a first at LG! A Blue Trout!!

18,49 Asha has been calling for ten or more minutes, at one time standing up and backing up as tho a fish was in-coming. But so far it has failed to arrive. Is the intruder in the vicinity. She's not a happy bunny/
18:49 female furiously food soliciting. She must be able to see the male.
There's an osprey on top of the cam on zoom! I am unsure whether it is Brodie!! It must be Brodie. Asha would have driven it away, if it wasn't him. He preening!
Sadly I've got to go, but I suspect Brodie has been dealing with Klive, and he is preening to tidy the feathers after any intervention! At least I hope he is not maintaining his fish duties!
She had a fish tail early a.m. which took her 9 minutes to eat… but had to deal with intrusions ad nauseam today!
Ok, here we go! All with KL5

Who was on the campost for 50 minutes from 18:30? I can't see a ring, and Asha ended up flapping him away - as if she was telling Brodie to get going chasing... ???
I couldn't see any ring, but there were few opportunities. I initially thought it was an intruder, - we didn't get a good facial view while I was looking, and I didn't go back on zoom to see his arrival. But I decided it was Brodie, particularly as Asha showed no aggression, just fish soliciting, loudly. No 'snorting'! Just by her reaction I decided it was Brodie, but on Chat Valerie said it wasn't. So form your own opinion, unless the VC posts something more conclusive.
