Asha & Brodie
The partnership has matured this season, with Asha continuing her good female role (and she loves nest-building) and Brodie being more reliable, both fishing and incubating.
The pair have fought their way thru all kinds of nasty weather - snow, wind and rain - and intruders, including the dreaded KL5 Klive, have been a nuisance but not dangerous...
so far.

EDIT
********
Sadly, the month of May heralded irresistible aggression from BlueKL5 "Klive", who had ruined the end of last season for the 2 juvies.
Within the first 2 days Klive had driven Brodie from the area (tho Brodie did return a couple of times to dive-bomb Klive, to no effect) and destroyed the eggs. He commenced to woo Asha clumsily, selfishly and inappropriately, as can be seen from the following pages.
IMAGICAT
Brodie returns and defends the nest, with Asha. Intruder unseen at this point.

11.16 Asha flies up to the nest cam - for a better view!
Interesting quote from Chat. I certainly could hear the first one, as did Asha.
11.25 Asha has been fish calling. Who is around? The cam has been looking...
They finally found Brodie under the PTZ, on the totem pole. I can't get pics to appear at the moment - still waiting for 'the man' to arrive to hopefully sort it.
Hi SheilaFE there is much confusion on YT chat as to how to identify Brodie. What do you guys look for?
Thanks
Freebird66 I am no expert, and increasingly find it more difficult with the more 'new' osprey in the frame. We all 'knew' Odin because he'd been at LG for such a long time.
The main points to look for are the two dots on either side of the top of his head. His chest markings are similar to Asha's but not as far up his throat, nor as 'speckled' as Asha (which is why the Forum unofficially named her Mistle, as in mistle thrush, in 2022. This was a year before RSPB named her Asha). His face-on markings are quite dark up his forehead - I have seen the description of a dark tree shape. Asha has more visible white. Mainly, when Asha is around, it's her reaction to him.
I am sure others will comment too. Not easy!!
Super thanks. Yes I have noted the two dots and it was her behaviour today which gave me the confidence to say it was Brodie as she seemed comfortable with him being on the nest.
Brodie (I'm pretty sure but have only watched from a distance) just brought Asha a FISH !!!
She's taken it to a tree, plainly seen on PTZ. Vid to follow but other bits need to be done first.
Fish 15.33 Brodie brings in a huge brown trout
Asha takes it to a perch, top left of the nest on a flat y-shaped tree
