Asha & Brodie
The partnership has matured this season, with Asha continuing her good female role (and she loves nest-building) and Brodie being more reliable, both fishing and incubating.
The pair have fought their way thru all kinds of nasty weather - snow, wind and rain - and intruders, including the dreaded KL5 Klive, have been a nuisance but not dangerous...
so far.

EDIT
********
Sadly, the month of May heralded irresistible aggression from BlueKL5 "Klive", who had ruined the end of last season for the 2 juvies.
Within the first 2 days Klive had driven Brodie from the area (tho Brodie did return a couple of times to dive-bomb Klive, to no effect) and destroyed the eggs. He commenced to woo Asha clumsily, selfishly and inappropriately, as can be seen from the following pages.
IMAGICAT
26 October
No birdies observed today, and the cams went down @ 16:35-ish, I didn't remember to start them up again until late evening.
Valerie said they're due to go offline today, 27 October.
Sigh
31 October
The cams are still going but I've seen no birdies for days! This afternoon, the VC staff seemed to bid us farewell - with a not-so-little surprise
See you in 2025 Loch Garten - have a great Christmas. Thanks Scylla
Aw, another year over, till we meet again, birdies and forum friends, roll on March 2025
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Cams still live !!! But the nestcam is very glitchy indeed.
Nevertheless I got the sound for a pair of Jays :)))
Uneventful thereafter up to 06:10 this morning..
Great stuff Scylla
The only credit due to me is finding it even when I'd been told it was there !!! I also found it on the nest cam but that was just a silvery dot briefly showing between freezes, hopeless.
Yep, it was easy to spot ! just wish it had been possible to have a real close up. Thanks again Scylla
Snaps from recent days:
This was a lovely sunny morning coming on, with the sunlight on the tops of the trees:

Before daycam these deer(?) entered at the top of the screen and gradually browsed their way down and out the left side - just a sample here:
