Aran and his new mate, Elen, both returned last season on 03 April. After a will-they/won't-they start, Elen laid her first egg on 24 April and the second 3 days later. Two male chicks, 0H1 and 0H2, fledged on 20 and 23 July and were last seen on 05 and 04 September, respectively.

Elen was last seen on 24 August, Aran on 08 September.
A happy ending to a season that had started out so sadly.
May our 2024 season turn out so well.

Aran had a female visitor today. Blue 372
13.18
She stayed for around a couple of hours. EDIT - Her stay was 3 hours, arriving just before 13.00 and leaving at 16.00.
Blue 372 is a female who was translocated to Poole Harbour in 2021.

I haven't credited you, GLIDER, but your info was most useful. Shame on me but I'd forgotten to check Glaslyn and it's next month already !!!
Strong winds continue, and ruined Aran's mating attempt and gave us lots of glitches.
PS - Elen's only got one ell - it's not a girl's name, it's a Welsh river or mountain, can't remember which - the same as Aran.

Uh-oh! Elen better hurry back, as 372 turned up early this morning and Aran's getting in mating practice - but I can only confirm the first of four tries as having been successful:
Smashing videos as always Scylla.
Thanks for reminder about Elen’s name. I’ve now corrected it.
I wonder if that really was Elen that arrived early then left or a lookalike?
You won't be the first person to say the same thing
