After the tragedy of 2021, the 2022 Season was a great success, with 3 beautiful youngsters fledging and migrating - Blue 497, 498 and 499 (courtesy of Glider):
Here's to the safe return of our precious pair, MrsG (thank you MaryGK for the original snap) and Aran:

Today, this year's indispensable volunteers gathered to give us a Group Wave, and I thought we should pay tribute to them here:
(How sparse this seems for a season OP - but it's all I've got to give. I think we need the new thread sooner rather than later, being mindful of the likelihood of Dovey Devils and/or Clywedog Kids swooping in )

Quite! Whenever I glance on it I get a positive impression - tho, did they have intruders yesterday? Too late to check Chat now.
If all really is going well, she could lay an egg any day. I haven't seen any nestcupping, and worry that altho the experienced MrsG didn't have a problem, this new girl might be nonplussed by having a concrete slab to lay on rather than a normal diggable base!
Last night there was no-one on the perch, someone landed +/- 05:00, soon there were 2 onscreen:
And this is what you get when you don't follow what's going on - a surprise! Worralorra bedding material on the "concrete"
She waited patiently while Aran was away, I was hoping he'd gone fishing:
And he had! It was a flapper and he teased her a little bit but she was quite positive in claiming, she is still eating on the left fence:
Thank you Scylla, great coverage (and not just the concrete slab!)
Could this be - but AG says it's already laid - I've been watching but only saw hard ball of grass or what not being pushed out of way before Elen sat down. AG has it been confirmed ?700
Yep AG is quite correct . And I was looking but did spot the obvious, it as all so quick. Very well done AG
