This new system is hopeless. Do you agree? There are severe logic problems in the system.
If removal of pagination within a thread was not bad enough, now I discover that there are "black holes" which are impossible to get out of.
It is ok to have a button to take you to the newest post. But that may or may not be the end of thread. How then do you get to the end of the thread?
Some of us have been here nearly 15 years and we have seen a lot of nonsense but this takes the biscuit.

I looks like the RSPB are using Telligent Community on the back end. I presume what’s happened is just an upgrade on the version they’re using, which is usually necessary on a periodic basis for security and stability – but it could be that the community templates need adapting to the new version. It’s been a few years sine I worked on a Telligent-based community, though.

Indeed. It would be great to have your support in the relevant thread which KATE has linked, Tiger, which is being checked for "suggestions" by OfficialRSPB.
If you type @ OfficialRSPB (without a space), it will flag him - and he does come across as amenable.

I agree, I find it difficult to find my way around the Thread
And do say all of us. Lost track of the number of times forum members were not consulted about changes / issues. I have talked to brick walls and had a more constructive response.
Good afternoon, I have just posted an updated on the link SunnyKate2 shared and I would appreciate your review of my summary of the issues and any additional feedback you have. Thank you
Thank you.

OfficialRSPB - Kylie has been very receptive and attentive and I think we have a chance of restoration to sanity and usability.
BTW - I think you have my email address somewhere but I don't have yours. Not that emailing me brings a fast or interesting response
It is just a newer version of that which was introduced 5 years ago. What RSPB ignored was the fact that 5 years ago they tweaked the system to "our way" and now they are having to re invent that wheel because no one at RSPB realised how different the system was after they did the Test and then the Rollout. The fundamental problem is that one cannot navigate the forum as before. We have gone over to a Facebook type system which has been notoriously hard to navigate. Now the Facebook system differs in two important respects.1. New posts in Facebook go at the top of the thread rather than the bottom.2. There is a way of "slicing the thread" according to chronology.
