Thank you for your well wishes Lindybird. Sorry to hear about Sue's bad cough !  That's pretty grim.

Hope UK folks don't suffer too much damage/inconvenience with the latest storm. Looks fierce!

Good Morning. We have survived the storm but others in the UK have had a grim night, with trees down and some electricity cuts

Hope all our UK friends are OK.

It was a really wild night here. We are surrounded by trees and they were waving around madly. Very high and noisy wind, plenty of rain, lightning (there might have been thunder, but couldn't hear it through the wind!!) And now the sky is a pale blue with little fluffy clouds, and the sun is shining. Looking from my window, I can't see any damage - but I imagine we will have lost some trees down in the woods. Nature is amazing!

I am glad all is well with Lindy and Pat and hope all other UK contributors and lurkers survived the night, I have just been out to inspect my roof (I live on a hill) Phew, all is OK. The bins were all over the place. When I looked out last night, the rain was blowing horizontally up the road! The lights flickered during the evening but, thankfully, didn’t go out.
Off to do my extra French homework which arrived yesterday (French is this afternoon!) Guess what? It is about bad weather and flooding!!!

ALL: I woke up at 5 a.m. here, and I've popped in to check on everyone. I'm glad to see that LINDY, PAT, and RUSTY are okay. I hope everyone else is also safe. I also hope that none of you have damaged homes or gardens, and your power is on. Hugs to all of you, and I'm sorry you had a stressful night.
